What makes Braille batteries so special?

The battery case is made of carbon fiber, not molded plastic.  These batteries can be mounted in any position and will not leak.  They are made for use in the auto racing industry and therefore require the same desirable characteristics as for aviation use, those being lightweight, high-power-to-weight ratio, durability, compact size and reliability.  Braille batteries use Enhanced Mat Technology combined with calcium full-frame power path grids to increase cranking amp capacity in a small lightweight package.

Using high density oxide Braille was able to offer a battery with true deep cycling ability over the life of the battery.  Heavy duty vibration resistant power posts resist cracking and deterioration common to many other lightweight batteries used in harsh environments.   All Braille batteries feature adjustable battery posts allowing a variety of different style battery terminals.

These batteries are especially suited for powering electric prerotators on gyroplanes and as the battery used for engine starting as well.
